**About the role**

The Commercial Analyst will support our Technology Business Manager with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of IT expenses. Your expertise in commercial and financial management combined with a deep understanding of the IT Operations will enable you to optimise resource allocation, drive cost efficiencies and contribute to strategic decision-making.

This role is based from our North Sydney Head Office, options to base from other locations on consideration.

**About the role**
- Facilitate strong business relationships with key IT Business Partners, Finance & Procurement teams.
- Fostering collaboration and understanding of financial requirements to create financial dashboards.
- Evaluate and improve internal distribution channels to ensure the processes related to budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking are effective and efficient.
- Monitor and analyse competitors' strategies and market position to assist IT leadership with making strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with Group Procurement and IT Leads to manage vendor contracts, negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Collaborate with the Technology Business Manager and IT leadership to develop, implement, and manage IT budgets, ensuring alignment with overall organisational objectives.
- Monitor project budgets, provide cost analysis, and proactively report on potential overruns.

**About you**
- CA or CPA preferred.
- Previous experience of a similar role within a complex organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required
- Ability to understand the demands on financial reporting.
- Proven ability to drive and deliver digital transformation to achieve desired outcomes.
