**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Procurement and Financial Governance, the role of Manager Financial Governance, Compliance and Taxation is entrusted with responsibility within CFA for driving and leading financial governance and compliance.
This position requires a results-oriented individual to drive engagement with key stakeholders whilst consulting with Senior Finance Leaders on high risk, sensitive and business critical matters.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Drive and support the implementation of financial governance and reporting projects
- Champion process/systems improvement projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation and driving implementation of solutions
- Manage and liaise with external professional service providers when necessary for optimal service
- Handle high volumes of data related to financial governance and reporting processes, organising and analysing to identify solutions supported by key stakeholders
- Drive the development of new policies, business rules and work instructions guidance based on identified needs
- Ensure prompt review and maintenance of financial internal control policies, business rules, work instructions and guidance materials relevant to Finance and Risk
- Collaborate with other finance stakeholders to ensure adequate documentation supporting financial performance and sustainability
- Develop and implement training, including reviewing training material content, leading induction programs and conducting directorate workshops
- Create and maintain the Finance Capability Framework for finance and non-finance staff within CFA in consultation with key stakeholders
- Lead change management initiatives, working closely with the Finance teams

**About you**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, accounting or business with significant years of relevant experience in a finance environment. CPA, CA or equivalent is advantageous
- Expert knowledge of financial governance concepts, related to accounting and financial reporting, financial systems and internal controls
- Extensive project management experience across all project lifecycle phases and the ability to drive operational process improvements in a large complex organisation
- Demonstrated experience effectively leading, managing and motivating teams in a Public Sector Environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally and effectively present and communicate with audiences at all levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to negotiate complex issues at senior management level
- Demonstrated experience and ability to successfully initiate, manage and implement change in a business unit
- Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP environment is desirable
