About the role

We are seeking a Single Gifts and Appeals Coordinator to join our Fundraising team to support the management of the single gifts portfolio and contribute to the growth of BirdLife Australia’s income and support.

This is a dynamic opportunity for someone to work at the heart of our front-line driving BirdLife’s annual schedule of appeals and the acquisition and stewardship of single-gift donors, contributing to growth in BirdLife’s income and nurturing of philanthropic relationships.

You will work closely with the Development Manager and Major Gifts lead to implement and grow key activities from the Fundraising Growth Strategy.

What you will bring to the team:
We are particularly interested in a confident communicator with high level interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in fundraising.

Your exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information will enable you to work collaboratively with all our supporters, volunteers, members, and donors.

You will have demonstrated skills working with databases, data extraction and data analysis with the ability to achieve Fundraising Growth Strategy activities and goals.

This is a full-time role on a continual contract which comes with an attractive salary package of $81,548 per annum plus 10.5% super.

- Completed Fundraising Institute of Australia code of conduct or willing to do so.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in fundraising and the theories and practices of fundraising.

- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information about both the organisation and its supporters.

- Sound copy and editing skills and experience in the development of key messaging across digital, web and direct mail.
- Ability to absorb and synthesize specialist information across a range of areas and present this in a simple and effective manner.
- Ability to work well with minimum supervision, prioritise and be delivery focused
- Have valid Australian work rights with permission to work.
