Assistant Director Strategy

**About the role**
The Assistant Director Strategy (EL1 Level) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the agency.
The position is required to coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the agencies objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".
The Assistant Director Strategy will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA's interests across a range of forums.
**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:
- Gathering and developing structured insights and recommendations for strategic projects.
- Developing fact based quantitative and qualitative analysis including modelling in Microsoft Excel.
- Creating materials for senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency.
- Presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Developing action plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment to enable successful implementation.
- Developing content to embed change, including authorship of policy papers and guidance materials.

**Key skills required for role**
- Ability to solve complex problems and lead workstreams with limited oversight from the project director.
- Project management skills.
- Delegate and supervise team members, and oversee quality of work produced.
- Ability to lead consultations and workshops as required.
You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm in the Adelaide CBD with a competitive pay rate of $602.55 daily inclusive of casual loading. This is a 12-month assignment initially with the opportunity available for extension
