Specifically, we’re looking for healthcare professionals that hold a degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Someone with demonstrated recent experience providing clinical care to young people with significant mental health and/or drug and alcohol concerns, including the provision of solution focused approaches. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health NSW, the Community Integration Team Clinician (HM1) position is an integral part of a multi disciplinary team and addresses the health needs of young people released from custody to the community. The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with Network delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems, and in line with both the NSW Health and Network Codes of Conduct.

- Must hold a degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated recent experience providing clinical care to young people with significant mental health and/or drug and alcohol concerns, including the provision of solution focused approaches.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development issues affecting adolescent health.
- Demonstrated experience of collaborating with Government, Non Government departments and/or community services with an extensive knowledge of local resources and services for information and referral of young people and families.
- Demonstrated ability to function successfully as a member of a multidisciplinary team with an ability to organise and prioritise workload autonomously.
- Clear effective communication that supports and promotes service integrity demonstrated through written and verbal communication skills that are positive and culturally sensitive.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating computer and data collection systems.
- Current unrestricted NSW Drivers License and valid current Working with Children Check Certificate (please provide registration number).
