Big Picture Medical is connecting the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is the underlying infrastructure that enables new models of collaborative, distributed and intelligent healthcare to be delivered, optimising patient outcomes and making smarter use of healthcare resources.

The role will be based in Australia. This is an incredibly exciting time to join the business and get involved with advanced and innovative product builds.

The Role

Working within a cross functional scrum team you will be creatively solving user, clinical and technical problems with your peers. You will be contributing to new and existing features within our platform responsible for the entire process from problem definition to polished UI, utilising user insights and analytics to make informed design decisions throughout.

As a powerful generalist, you’ll communicate effortlessly with everyone within your scrum team. You’ll work closely with developers to release features we’re proud to call our own. You’ll be adept at human centred design thinking and can handle design and development kick-offs and handovers whilst keeping designs practical and buildable. If you don't, you have the confidence and initiative to pick up these skills quickly.

As part of the design team, you'll also have plenty of experience developing and supporting a Design System across the organisation; as well as educating your team on and forwarding our design principles.

Whilst working closely with a Product owner and Product leads, you'll have the initiative to manage your workload and deliver milestones, make significant decisions and shape the product for our users.

A typical day
- Planning and executing user research, working closely with our customer success team and client account managers.
- Exploring different options to solve problems collaboratively and individually.
- Documenting your work including user flows, stories, concepts from low to hi fi.
- Ability to showcase and gather feedback on your work to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to and advocate for the design system, design principles and brand guidelines.
