Collections Team Leader

**_ Purpose of the Role_**

Due to an internal promotion we have a Collections Team Leader position available right now Reporting to the Collections Manager, your main focus will be to establish a culture of high performance. This will be done by leading, coaching and developing your team to ensure the delivery of positive customer outcomes and the achievement of business objectives. You will also manage the day to day strategy within the collections teams to achieve the business KPI's including Compliance, Quality Assurance, Delinquency, Losses and People Development.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
Some of the exciting items you will be responsible for as Collections Team Leader include the following:

- Lead a culture of exceptional customer service, team work, commitment to excellence and professional ethics in order to achieve both team and business goals
- Set performance and professional development goals with direct reports and provide coaching against goals
- Drive a culture of reward and recognition and pro-actively looking for opportunities to reinforce and celebrate success
- Ability to be able to respond to customer concerns through escalations in order to provide a customer centric service
- Ability to make sound decisions to ensure that the customer receives a “Customer First Experience” balanced with the business requirements
- Manage processes and ensure Debt Collection guidelines and NCCP are embedded into the business
- Deliver business goals by ensuring your team contributes to the departmental targets
- Mentor, coach and develop the team to drive optimum resolution
- Provision of quality service to customers both internally and externally

**What you should bring**:
Your aptitude for continuous self-development, and of course a can do attitude. We are looking for the following:

- Strong Leadership qualities, communication skills and goal setting to be able to motivate and drive engagement
- Customer orientated and committed to delivering an exceptional experience
- Confident, innovative and loves to challenge the status quo
- Focused on continuous improvement with a growth mindset
- Understanding of delinquency and the drivers that need to be used to meet the business goals
- Experience in receivables management, debt collection, telemarketing, sales, motor vehicle insurance or customer service highly regarded

**WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW**:
