**Role Description/Criteria**

St Joseph’s Flexible Learning Centre, works with young people who are disengaged from mainstream education with the aim of re-engaging them in creative, meaningful and intentional learning. Our schools work with young people through a trauma informed approach respectful to the educational needs of each learner.

This role will join the Leadership Team of the Nano Nagle Network with responsibility for Flexi Schools operating within the South East Network. This role will lead a core group of teachers and youth workers that will develop and implement a rich, online teaching & learning program, which is strongly supported by youth workers in outreach work. The Assistant Principal for our new virtual model we have called BlendED, will be required to oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and wellbeing engagement for all online learners.

The successful applicant will be an experienced educational leader with a passion for, and experience in, working with disenfranchised young people of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds.

**You will need**:

- Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty.
- Relevant leadership experience in a secondary school environment (flexi school experience highly regarded)
- Current teaching registration in Victoria and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience with online teaching highly advantageous
- The ability to inspire and engage young people
- Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential
