The Role

The Principal Information Analyst reports to the Manager, Digital Capability and will plan, implement and evaluate information management initiatives as part of Digital Capability’s role building capability and managing strategic risks in the agency.

You will deliver key projects to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures, as well as empowering business areas to realise benefits from effective information management practices. You will be responsible for working with a range of stakeholders to plan and implement projects, undertake detailed analysis, and provide expert advice and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an analysis of the current business processes, information systems, and data sources, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with Queensland Government legislation, policies, and procedures related to information management and governance.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including corporate and operational personnel, system and data managers, governance groups, leadership and executive teams, and DRDMW's service providers.
- Streamline business operations through efficient, effective, and thorough data and information management processes.
- Identify and document business rules and map out business processes as needed.
- Implement a range of capacity-building initiatives focused on records management, such as developing standards and organizing awareness campaigns.
- Create and oversee the development of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and correspondence to be reviewed by senior management and executive teams, including project boards.
- Utilize good judgment to balance competing priorities while working collaboratively with colleagues or individually to meet stakeholder expectations and deliver workloads on time.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
