Do you have extensive experience in building roads, major drainage, traffic facilities and environmental projects? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Works Coordinator to join our team.

**About Us**

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.

**About the Role**

Be part of and contribute to a team that supports the organisation by providing all necessary construction activities for Council’s Delivery Program (Construction Works).

The Construction Works Coordinator is responsible for
- the co-ordination of the activities of Council construction work teams
- management of the daily running of staff and plant resources across the various projects
- the effective management and implementation of appropriate controls for WHS, environment and quality of Council’s built construction projects

**About you**

You will have experience in leading multiple construction teams in the construction of roads, drainage, environmental and traffic projects and associated technical knowledge.

Experience in the determination and coordination of resource requirements for multiple construction work sites as well as the ability to read and interpret detailed engineering plans and set out works is required in this role.

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required in this position.
