We are now looking for a Process Specialist - Technical to join an established team based in Victoria.
The purpose of this position is to support regional technical manager with the identification, assessment, and implementation of key business improvements regarding product specification, process control and process improvement from supplier to logistics.
Your core responsibilities will be,
What you will do
- Support the Technical Manager in identifying, planning and implementing key process improvement opportunities through detailed data-based analysis engaging with key stakeholders and be actively involved in the continuous improvement projects.
- Support the implementation of improved process control and systems to deliver improved consistency of product quality and yield.
- Implement successful recipe optimisation at site to reduce raw material costs with no loss of product quality.
- Provide an interface between operations and R&D on all NPD, technical and process related initiatives.
- Support the Technical Manager in establishing effective communication mechanisms with other site support functions.
- Assist with Implement of recipe optimisation at sites to reduce raw material costs whilst maintaining product quality and compliance.
- Work with site Technical Manager and QA to ensure all new product launches are fully integrated with the site QA systems.
- Support the Technical Manager in troubleshooting and resolving product performance and quality issues.
- Support and manage new product and product performance trials.
- Help facilitate communication at site level to implement and optimise Technology initiatives.
- Assist with and facilitate raw material and product testing as required.
- Ensure SOPs are up to date and documented.
To be successful in this role ideally you will have the following:
- Ideally completed or working toward a Process Engineering or Food science degree
- Related industry experience (preferably within the food, dairy, baking, beverage industry)
- Process control and procedural drafting
- Data analysis, reporting and interpretation experience
- Planning and organising
- Project Management
