**About the Role**

The
**People Advisor **will support the designated projects client group by providing People (HR) advice and consultation. The role will assist in the implementation and delivery of a range of human resource functions, administration and projects relating to the employee lifecycle. This position will support the achievement of the People Objectives within the People Strategic plan.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Support the Senior Business Partner with providing operational people advice, coaching, and guidance with regards to day-to-day HR operations.
- Provide support to managers in relation to cyclical HR activities such as the talent management process, capability development planning, mid-year reviews and end of year performance review process.
- Support the Project and Senior Business Partner on Employee relations matters including performance management, probation reviews and investigations.
- Ensure all people data is up to date in Metro systems including organisational structures and employee details, including providing reports on people trends and metrics where needed.
- Support employee on-boarding, prepare correspondence and letters to employees, position description updates, and other people related activities.

**About You**
- Relevant qualifications in either an HR or Business / Commerce field.
- Previous experience in an HR generalist role including providing advice to stakeholders on a broad range of people matters (experience within a blue-collar environment will be considered favourably).
- Good working knowledge of contemporary human resource practices and trends.
- Ability to build strong and trusting relationships at all organisational levels.
