**About the Role**

As a Desktop Assessor, you will manage home and building claims, using your technical skills and understanding of the claims process to determine the best outcome for our customers. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our customers and repairer network, whilst providing a high level of customer service representing the Youi brand.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assess damage to the property and ensure validation of the claim
- Accurately scope repair works and estimate loss value
- Authorise repairs and/or replacement based on best value quotations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers
- Handle customer complaints and rectification work
- Comply with Youi’s workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Work towards departmental KPIs - turn-around time, cost of repair, customer service, etc.

**About You**

You will be a driven individual, with the ability to adapt and work autonomously, as well as in a team environment.
- A background in Home Claims Management/Home Assessing OR be Trade Qualified with a minimum 3 years post trade
- An understanding of insurance claims processes and building terminology
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
- Experience in dispute resolution/complaints handling
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- High attention to detail and a passion for providing awesome customer service
