**The Role**

ALS Water’s modern new facility in Hume, Canberra is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a full-time opportunity for a keen and capable Laboratory Technician - Microbiology to to join our client-focused team. This position includes rostered weekend work.

**The Day to Day**
- Sample preparation
- Analysis of water samples
- Interpretation and result entry into LIMS system
- Ensuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIs
- Meeting turn-around requirements
- Carry out microbiology testing and general laboratory tasks
- Sample pick-up from client premises
- Working safely at all times

**The Essentials**
- Experience in a client-focused environment - ideally with commercial laboratory exposure
- Effective written and verbal communications, computer literacy.
- Well-organised, task-focused with attention to detail
- Strong team player who can also work autonomously and with initiative
- A current Drivers Licence
- A clear understanding of HSE principles and practice and commitment to safe working
