**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Community Mental Health Service.

The position will work across the Safe Haven Café, Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Team and the Way Back Support Service. Managing a range of direct reports, including Nursing, Allied Health and Peer Workers. The manager will work closely with the staff specialist of team to further service excellence and delivery. A key imperative to this role will be to provide day to day management of each team and those close partnerships both internal and external.

A key imperative of this role will be to continue to develop and implement a model which provides alternatives to attending the emergency department e.g. A Safe Haven Café and Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT). The role would expand upon the community mental health peer work force and explore service delivery which will lead to improved mental health outcomes for the consumers of the SVHS catchment area and beyond. The manager will be a central position in clinically and operationally leading the development of these models through co-design and in reporting and evaluating the findings both at a local and ministry level.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2. Relevant tertiary qualification in a health related or community development field and or appropriate health experience including relevant work experience in mental health.
3. Experience in the health care sector with demonstrated ability to engage with a range of multidisciplinary teams and Senior Managers.
4. Demonstrated skills in identifying strategic partnership opportunities and successfully managing relationships with external stakeholders.
5. Commitment to peer led and co-designed service development and the ability to provide leadership to a team of Lived Experience Peer Workers and Mental Health Clinicians in a non-clinical setting.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of strengths based, recovery oriented and trauma informed approaches with a focus on suicidal crisis and the ability to link guests to appropriate services.
8. Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet conflicting deadlines.
