**About the opportunity**

Our Internal Audit team is an independent, objective assurance and consulting function, designed to add value and improve Australia Post’s operations, including the internal control environment. It represents the third line of defence at Australia Post and operates as part of a co-sourced model with an external organization.
- **About you**
Reporting administratively to the Chief Financial Officer and functionally to the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), the General Manager, Internal Audit leads a team, that supports the Corporation to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This includes developing the annual Audit plan in consultation with management, the Executive Committee, and the ARC.

You will provide the Board, Managing Director, Executive Committee, and other key stakeholders with a high-quality, internal audit service and be provided with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgement.

**What are we looking for?**
- A collaborative approach and experience gained from a similar senior leadership role within a complex and large organisation
- Significant experience building effective working relationships, and influencing key stakeholders, especially the Board and Executive General Managers
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- A style that is able to manage and respond to sensitive issues in a constructive manner
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Technology, or a related degree
- Professional accreditation relevant for Internal Audit (e.g. CIA, CA/CPA, CISA)
- Experience using analytics (e.g. ACL) and visualisation tools, such as Tableau will be highly regarded
