Working within the Mint’s Sales Development Team, the Data Analyst plays a critical role by leveraging data to inform decision-making, drive insights and support the achievement of the Mint’s organisational objectives. They work under limited supervision to provide market analysis and deliver evidence-based advice. Through collecting, analysing, cleaning and interpreting data, the Data Analyst produces reports, forecasts and recommendations, contributing to how product sales are managed across the Mint

The Data Analyst manages key data related projects, in particular developing and delivering the annual sales budget, to inform key stakeholders of the planned revenue position of the Mint. They regularly find ways to continuously improve processes and procedures to achieve strategic objectives.

A qualified data analyst with dynamic people skills is required for this role.

**The successful applicant is required to work full-time and on-site.**

The duties of this position include:
1. Undertaking collection and analysis of sales, production and competitor data, including:
a. cleaning, validating and interpreting data from a variety of sources;
b. conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies;
c. developing, implementing and maintaining budgets, databases and data extracts; and
d. using statistical and data visualisation techniques to present findings.
2. Developing high level, comprehensive reports, forecasts and dashboards to present data-driven insights and translate complex data into actionable advice or recommendations for the Mint.
3. Developing, implementing and tracking the annual sales budget to inform the planned revenue position of the Mint for key stakeholders including the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer and the Treasury.
4. Collaborating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders relating to complex operational and administrative matters, including sale and production of Mint products, costs, revenue and associated recommendations.
5. Undertaking risk assessments of sales and budget related data, identifying and reporting on risks as they arise and making relevant recommendations.
6. Identifying opportunities for process improvement including defining new data collection and analysis processes, developing work instructions and creating efficiencies.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulatory, departmental and Treasury reporting requirements.

**Security clearance**
This position requires a base security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
