**FUNCTION SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Monitoring current issues, trends, legislation and other developments related to the organisation's advocacy interests.
- Identifying and recommending opportunities for advocacy, government relations activities and engagement.
- Designing, implementing and evaluating effective advocacy strategies to influence public policy, supporting CSPD’s engagement with key stakeholders, government bodies, and relevant organisations.
- Preparing briefings, reports and submissions as required.
- Compiling relevant data, research findings, and case studies to strengthen advocacy positions and policy recommendations.

**TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in designing and executing successful advocacy strategies.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough research, analysing data, and synthesising information to support policy positions.
