**Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in a**
**APS6 Compliance Design Officer**
**for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in GEELONG VIC**

**About the Team**:
The Compliance Program Branch is responsible for providing the strategic and operational direction of the Agency’s compliance function to ensure payment integrity and facilitate a reduction of potential fraud and financial non-compliance against the Agency.
The branch aim is to engage with Agency staff, partners, participants and providers to promote good compliance practice and early intervention when financial non-compliance is identified. We actively engage in positive reinforcement, early intervention, and mutual awareness and ownership towards compliance and good practice.
**About the role**:
The APS6 Compliance Program Design Officer (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.

The APS6 Compliance Program Design Officer (Labour Hire) will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division/NDIA.
**Key skills required for role**:

- Experience in project management
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
- Experience developing, leading, and supporting a team

**Desirable skills to have for the role**:

- Experience in government
- Experience in quality assurance, auditing, or related fields

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Contributing to the design and evaluation of compliance business processes.
- Developing and maintaining key internal and external stakeholder relationships to support the operational integration of business processes.
- Working within project management methodologies to deliver the compliance program of work.
- Preparing draft reports on the research, review and evaluation of projects in specific operational and technical areas.
- Contributing to the design and technical specifications of supporting business systems (ICT).
- Maintaining a contemporary understanding of legislation, rules and policy regarding compliance best practice within the Australian Public Service.
- Providing technical advice to operational business areas to support positive compliance outcomes.
- Supporting the Assistant Director to manage complex projects, including the timely delivery of quality outputs.
