This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams, and they're looking for an **APS6 Project Officer** to join their Victoria headquarters in Geelong.

**About the Team**:
The Performance, Workload Planning and Quality Branch influences a high quality end to end participant experience through delivery of Continuous Improvement (CI), a Quality Management Framework (QMF) and Performance Management activities.
The branch reviews the consistency and quality of operational activities against standards, procedures and practices across the end-to-end participant value chain. The branch is responsible for identifying key trends and insights and sharing these with Service Delivery (SD) to drive improvements in performance and quality, utilising a Continuous Improvement framework. The branch facilitates an uplift in staff capability through Learning and Development activities for SD staff which is monitored and evaluated through evidence based practice to ensure embedment.
**About the Role**:
The **APS6 Project Officer** is a team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership.
**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

**Key skills required for role**:

- Experience in project management tools, such MS Project.
- Proficiency in other MS Office products, namely MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, and able to effectively coordinate moderately complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Analytical skills - able to analyse large amounts of information from a range of sources and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication - able to effectively communicate written and verbally to stakeholders across the organisation, from frontline staff to executives.
- Task management - able to effectively manage tasks across a portfolio of diverse projects.

**Desirable skills to have for the role**:

- Experience in JIRA project management software.
- Experience in data analytical tools and methodologies.
