Risk and Compliance Officer

We are seeking a suitably experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our Risk and Compliance team on a full time, ongoing basis.- This position is responsible for coordinating the efficient and effective delivery of the College’s relevant compliance requirements while providing expertise to provide a safe and secure learning environment for staff and students.
- The days and hours of work are onsite Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm.**Key responsibilities include**:
- Review and administration of the College Risk & Compliance and Occupational Health & Safety Management systems
- Support the college risk management requirements for all aspects of the Learning Program and College activities, excursions and events
- Provide support with the College Policy and Procedure Register to ensure policies and procedures are updated and managed in a timely manner
- Support new staff in meeting mandatory risk and compliance training, including Emergency Management and Child Safety
- Support the Risk and Compliance Manager with VRQA Victorian standards and requirements, ensuring the College is compliant and collating evidence of compliance
- Prepare, produce, and retain college OHS records and publications in accordance with organisational policies
- Coordinate and maintain incident reporting and relevant documentation
- Support the administration of recording and maintaining compulsory professional learning records in EMS360
- Support the Risk and Compliance Manager in Emergency Management Planning and Training
- Qualifications in an OH&S &/or risk management-related discipline (advantageous)
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective administrative and decision-making skills that demonstrate clarity, competence, and a collaborative approach
- Able to maintain integrity and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and matters
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and as part of a team
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suit
- Commitment to occupational health and safety
- An understanding of and commitment to Catholic education
