Construction organisation in North Melbourne seeks a Bookkeeper with Admin duties to join them ASAP - Perm
**Your new company**
My client is a successful construction industry organisation. They are seeking an organised and self-motivated bookkeeper who is adaptable to also complete administrative tasks as part of the position.
**Your new role**:
- ** Bookkeeping**:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare financial reports for management
- ** Administrative Tasks**:
- Assist with project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders
- Coordinate project-related communications with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintain project files and organise documentation
- Support project managers with scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks
- ** General Office Administration**:
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors
- Order office supplies and maintain office organisation
- Assist with payroll processing
- Performing other administrative duties as needed
**Qualifications**:
- ** Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and administrative experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ideally MYOB
- ** Skills**:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- ** Team Player**:
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with project teams
- ** Adaptability**:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment
