Sydney, Australia Amazon Australia Company Pty Ltd Full time

10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Would you like to implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve the world's most complex technical problems?
- Do you have a deep passion and desire to engineer and operate the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure to build a better world for future generations?

We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the region Services organization as a technical resource, taking the lead on solving complex operational challenges in some of the most sensitive and mission critical clouds. The TPM will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, leading cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate and secure devices to AWS standards.
We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define and drive Region Services initiatives. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods
If you like to focus on Customer Experience, think and act globally and want to contribute to the operational excellence of Amazon, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help to take AWS into the future; innovate cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems while fundamentally transforming the way we partner with customers to meet their key mission requirements and goals.
Key job responsibilities
- Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, define User Acceptance Criteria for testing software, ensure systems capture applicable data to enable customers to measure how effective their processes and leveraged software are from a day to day basis. Identify and assemble the appropriate resources for each project, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
- Contribute with cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
- You rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.
- You will manage repair requests in a high-volume environment, as well as managing response to high severity events
- You will present to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner
- You be responsible for data collection, analytics and dashboard creation as a way to help others recognize the best path to make the business better.
