**This is a fantastic opportunity be part of the Defence Trailblazer for Concept to Sovereign Capability - a collaborative partnership between the University of Adelaide and UNSW.**

The Defence Trailblazer is supported by two Communications and Events Coordinators. One with the University of Adelaide, and one with UNSW. These roles will work closely together to manage a broad range of marketing, communication, and engagement activities for Defence Trailblazer.

Based in Adelaide, The Communications and Events Coordinator, Defence Trailblazer will work as part of a virtual team across Adelaide, New South Wales and Canberra to support Defence Trailblazer activities for the Business Unit and the Defence Trailblazer Streams. The Communications and Events Coordinator, Defence Trailblazer reports to the Senior Partnerships Manager, Defence Trailblazer and has no direct reports.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Proven track record in the management of events of varying complexity
- Proven track record in the delivery of marketing strategies that achieve measurable outcomes in support of organisational objectives
- Talent for creating audience-specific content in a range of formats and distilling complex information into straightforward messages
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in influencing and negotiating to achieve successful outcomes
- Extensive experience using communication platforms including content management systems, newsletter marketing platforms and social media
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects of varying importance, scale and stakeholder involvement and meet required deadlines
- Ability to work flexibly, productively, and effectively as part of a team while operating autonomously and independently and demonstrating strong initiative and a proactive approach as the program evolves

**Qualifications**:

- ** **A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
