Sustainability Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to work across our two iconic sugar businesses in ANZ. This amazing permansuent full time role based at our Sugar Australia Head Office in Yarraville is ideal for someone who has a sound understanding of sustainability practices along with strong commercial experience and stakeholder management. The role reports to our Sugar Australia, Chief Operating Officer.

As the Sustainability Manager ANZ, you are responsible for partnering with both our Australian and New Zealand businesses to develop, plan and implement their respective sustainability visions. Whilst these are closely aligned, the businesses present different opportunities in their respective markets. There is the occasional requirement to travel to New Zealand when necessary (approximately 3-4 times per year).

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Partner with the two businesses to support the long-term development of plans to reduce our footprint in all operational areas
- Refine the existing Sustainability Strategy
- Manage both internal and external stakeholder sustainability communication
- Increase understanding of our sustainability strategy and plans, and enthusiasm towards acting on sustainability across our workforce
- Develop and lead governance and reporting frameworks aligned to industry best practice to ensure impacts are measured, reported and communicated effectively
- Develop and implement a reporting matrix for key business outcomes
- Provide guidance, thought leadership and education on emerging and existing material sustainability topics
- Provide oversight to our various sustainability projects
