**The role**:

The responsibility of the Safety Training Development Lead is to implement and co-ordinate safety training solutions across the organisation to reflect SEW’s Safety 1st value and meet the competency standards and legislative requirements.

Working closely with the Safety and Wellbeing team and organisational leaders, the position will primarily influence and drive training development, delivery and assessment in relation to Safety and Wellbeing at South East Water.

The Lead will oversee the following three streams of work:

- Training co-ordination, resourcing/curating and development/delivery
- Vocational Education and Training
- Systems and processes

**Who are you?**:

- A tertiary qualification in Learning and Development, or other related field and/or proven experience undertaking a similar role in a large and complex organisation
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role as part of a Safety function
- A strong customer focus, action orientated mindset and tech savvy
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including communication (verbal and written), consultation, stakeholder engagement and negotiation
- Experience in delivering and facilitating training - online and face to face
- Strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and influence stakeholders to drive change
- Track record of managing and delivering projects to agreed timeframe and budget.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance codes and codes of practice
- Applied knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training sector
