The job description typically includes a range of responsibilities:
**About The Role**:

- Planning and coordinating transportation routes, considering costs, time, and efficiency
- Collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and distributors to optimize logistics operations
- Scheduling and tracking all loads to ensure timely delivery
- Planning and creating manifests for drivers
- Implementing measures to optimize transportation processes and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with applicable state transportation laws and regulations
- Managing permits, licenses, and other legal documentation necessary for transportation
- Supervising a team of local and line haul drivers
- Providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Identifying potential risks in transportation operations and developing contingency plans
- Assisting in developing and managing budgets for efficient transportation and logistics operations
- Monitoring expenses and finding ways to reduce costs without compromising quality or service
- Analyzing transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review
- Managing transportation management systems (MyTrucking) or other logistic & vehicle tracking software
- Leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

**About you**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in vehicle logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools, knowledge of MyTrucking software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of NHVR regulatory requirements and transportation laws.
- Sound knowledge of applicable WHS compliance items and regulations
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellence in Customer Service.
