**About the Role**:
**This is a ‘live-in’ position that includes providing after hours support (24 hour shifts, 8.30am to 8.30am which include a sleepover).**

**Week 1: Thursday, Friday Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday**

Our Facility Supervisor (Lodge) is responsible for the day to day running of our Bilton Lodge. Duties include tenancy management (signing and managing issues related to leases), minor maintenance (including some cleaning of communal areas, office spaces and vacated units), ensuring the property is kept clean and tidy, providing assistance with preparation of meals/set up of dining room (in liaison with the Cook) and providing limited assistance to residents in an on-call capacity out of hours.

**The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas**:

- Have a knowledge of the issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness and a conceptual understanding of the social and political context in which they occur and the concept of and issues associated with communal living;
- Have high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the ability to; engage with people in a respectful manner that promotes independence and resilience; and facilitate mediation and conflict resolution;
- Work effectively and regularly liaises with the Support Worker to ensure the sooth running of the facility. This includes:

- incorporating participation strategies and ensuring feedback mechanisms are in place and;
- Attend to basic maintenance of the property such as: minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, unblocking drains, cleaning guttering, minor painting jobs and liaise with Anglicare maintenance crews to facilitate major maintenance tasks.
- Ensure basic routine cleaning of communal areas and vacated rooms is undertaken.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:

- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
