The Role

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and passionate Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our team. In this dynamic position, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and supporting a proactive health and safety culture within the firm.

This is a unique and diverse opportunity that has a truly national focus. You will have the opportunity to advise as well as build progressive and innovative WHS strategies with an emphasis on value added preventative programs that go beyond just compliance.

We are open to a Manager or Senior Adviser in this role. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on involvement in the day to day activities whilst embracing the career possibilities that lie ahead.

Key Responsibilities

The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager plays a vital role in the firm, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and driving, developing and delivering on the objectives of the firm's health and wellbeing Program. As the leader of our return-to-work function you will provide advice and support to our National P&D Team on best practice for injury and claims management. This role will work closely with our National Mental Health Manager to identify and manage psychosocial risks.

In this role you will establish and maintain strong relationships with external health providers, Workers Compensation, Salary Continuance / Life insurers and brokers. By effectively managing these partnerships, you will safeguard the wellbeing of our employees and ensure a smooth process for any health-related matters.

Other key responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

- Continually review, improve and implement the Firm's WHS Management System and ensure compliance in all jurisdictions.
- Liaise with external rehabilitation providers/internal return to work co-ordinators on complex salary continuance / workers compensation claims and advise as required.
- Lead the provision of training, advice, health surveillance, vaccinations, executive health assessments and other wellbeing programs.
- Identify and develop policies and prevention strategies for new and emerging people safety risks as and when needed.
- Conduct Risk assessments, incident analysis and corrective action management.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and make a positive impact at all levels.
- Excellent stakeholder management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Experience in Rehabilitation and RTW ideally gained in a professional services organisation.
- A sound working knowledge of WHS Management Systems, national WHS legislation, WC legislation, claims management and ergonomics.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.

In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their stakeholders.
