We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Security Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about electronics, technology, and the rapidly evolving security industry. As an Apprentice Security Technician, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals in this sought-after industry. You will play a crucial role in assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various electronic security components throughout the Perth Metropolitan and greater Western Australia region.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the installation of security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intruder alarms, and intercom systems at client’s premises.
- Learn how to conduct system tests and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance of security components.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to learn about correct wiring, configuration, and programming of security equipment.
- Interaction with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Adhering to safety protocols and industry standards while completing all works.
- Regular reporting to your supervisor and apprenticeship management officer throughout your four-year apprenticeship.
- Attendance and completion of training courses required for the apprenticeship.

**Highly Desired**:

- Completion of Cert II in Electro Technology (pre-apprenticeship) through a approved RTO.
- Western Australian Construction Industry White Card.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in electronics, technology, and the security industry.
- Fluent computer skills, and ability to learn new processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete planned works outside of normal business hours when required.

**Prerequisites**:

- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or have rights to work in Australia.
- Minimum Year 10 or equivalent education.
- No criminal record (requirement to obtain a Security Licence in Western Australia).
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence or transport arrangements to our office in Wangara daily.
