In Perth, Flowbird’s local hardware and software engineers support Perth and regional West Australia’s current public transport solution. Our solution is going through a major multi-phase upgrade project, and we need a First Line Service Desk Technician to join our team to work with us to deliver this solution.

What does a First Line Service Desk Technician do?

First-line Service Desk Technicians are the first point of contact for our customers. They monitor the first line queue for new incidents and requests, taking ownership of relevant reported incidents as well as handling phone calls and carrying out triage. They see incidents through to escalation or resolution, building strong relationships with key internal and external customers.
This is a new role, to start and establish our Service Desk in East Perth we are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and confident individual who can provide world class customer service to our customers and partners, and ultimately grow the team.

What will you be working with?
- Microsoft Windows, Office, and Server, with Google Workspace and Android
- JIRA, ServiceNow, Datadog, BI Tools
- Wireless, cellular, and fixed network communications to industry standards
- Software development lifecycles, technology and security protocols, and banking payments

- Flowbird Sydney, our small team of specialised staff supporting all of our APAC projects, which as well as Perth includes Sydney, Canberra, and developing new business across the region
- Flowbird UK Service Desk, our largest office of staff for all of our public transport project needs
- Our APAC customers; these are local state government transport authorities, and the public transport operators which run the services
- Our suppliers and service contractors who play a crucial role in supporting our deliveries
- This is a significant role in delivering a major public transportation project that will benefit all of Perth and regional West Australia for many years to come
