**The opportunity we have available**

The Classification Branch provides policy and operational advice, education and training on the classification of films, computer games and publications. It delivers operational and secretariat support to the Classification Board and Classification Review Board (the Boards) and supports industry through the administration of approved classification tools. The Branch is also responsible for the oversight of the Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Act 1995 and the National Classification Scheme.

The Client Services Officer is responsible for:

- Provision of day to day operational and secretariat support for the Boards
- Responding to written and oral enquiries about the National Classification Scheme
- Undertaking routine clerical, administrative support or operational tasks as required.

The role may involve some travel to Canberra and viewing film, game or publication content that is high in impact and/or objectionable.

Note: A merit pool will be established for a period of 18 months from the date of this advertisement as a result of the selection process to fill similar vacancies in the department and across the APS.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Effective organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise competing tasks
- Ability to respond to client enquiries with accuracy, professionalism and in a timely manner
- Ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve team goals

While not essential, we will look favourably upon skills and experience in using Dynamics 365 (D365).

- **Citizenship**: To be eligible for employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts applicants must be an Australian citizen.
