**About Our Client**:
Our client is property company and looking for a payroll professional to join their established team. Based in Canberra ACT | minimum 3-month contract with opportunity for long-term extension. Someone with excellent attention to detail, able to query, teach and push back where needed would be a great fit for this role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll officer seeking to join a supportive and high-performing team whereby the role will be an integral part of the finance function.
- Management of the end-to-end processing of the monthly payroll for Head Office.
- Ensuring all monthly payrolls are checked and accurate before authorisation.
- Provide a high level of customer service to all customers across the business in relation to Head Office payroll services and advice.
- Manage adhoc reporting and payroll calculation requests for other departments as required.
- Effective management of payroll related projects
- End of month process/GL reconciliations.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across the business and provide a high level of customer service and data integrity.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- 2+ years experience working in a similar position
- Experience with Xero Systems.
- Strong transaction processing and reconciliation abilities
- Ability to investigate and resolve issues and queries
- Working knowledge of accounting standards and human resource legislative requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High level of confidentiality, tact, discretion, and initiative
- Well-developed communication and relationship management Skills
