**About the Role**
Our team at Enfield are currently looking to recruit a Train Management Controller to coordinate and oversee the daily safe and efficient working of the railway. These newly created positions are accountable for the safe control of train movements and track isolations within the assigned areas of control.
Working across a rotating 24/7 shift roster our Train Controllers ensure all rail vehicle movements are carried out in a safe and timely manner confirming to regulations, policies and standards.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Rail movement control within the Assigned Areas of Control (AAC) in a safe, orderly and timely manner and in accordance with the Service Delivery Plan
- Efficient and safe management of emergency events
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders as well as train controllers from adjoining networks to ensure effective control of railing movements entering and exiting the AAC
- Maintain records of railing movements within the AAC including paper train graphs, safe working forms, reports and logs required to manage the network
- Reporting of all incidents and safe work breaches promptly and in accordance with relevant policy and procedures
**About You**
Ideal applicants will need to be proactive individuals with a ‘safety first’ approach. You’ll need strong communication skills, an ability to manage competing priorities and be able to work autonomously and within a team.
Your high-level attention to detail, intermediate MS Office skills, in particular Excel, coupled with your experience in planning and coordination within rail, manufacturing, mining or heavy industry environment will be essential to your success in the position.
Qualifications in Train Control and Safe Working as well as an understanding of Train Control Systems will be beneficial.
