With their mission of ‘creating possibilities in people’s lives’, they focus on delivering creative and enriching community, youth, children, and disability services that are designed to improve the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable people. Committed to a reform and growth agenda, their strategic plan brings new products and service offerings to the NDIS market.

Their newest location offers the first 6-star disability services day program in Australia. Their one-of-a-kind, purpose-built centres offer a variety of options, personally designed in collaboration with participants. The Junction Works service provision is underpinned by the philosophy and practice of being person-centred, and they have campuses in Austral and Seven Hills, a Youth program, nine group homes located across Greater Western Sydney and a rapidly growing Allied Health and Support Coordination business.

**About the Role**:

The General Manager Supported Independent Living is part of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for leading the growing Community Living program. Reporting to the CEO, you will have up to 6 direct reports who themselves are responsible for a growing number of Program Coordinators and Support Workers. You will also:

- Lead operational outcomes for long term SIL and short term (respite) activities
- Manage and oversee TJW strategies relating to Community Living programs
- Manage and oversee systems, processes, policies and infrastructure that deliver the strategic objectives of TJW.
- Take ownership of the existing and future requirements of the Community Living service, including requirements for future properties, staffing requirements and resources.
- Build the capability within the Community Living team through coaching and supervision.

To succeed in the role, you will be a natural and empathetic communicator, with strong experience in people management. You will bring flexibility and passion with your strategic approach. You will also have:

- Demonstrated experience leading a Supported Accommodation team, ideally within a growth environment
- An understanding of the NDIS funding model, rosters of care and willingness to undertake rostering.
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Welfare, Social Work or similar field.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage employees, recognising the need for regular and clear communication with a team that works across geographical locations and on a rostered basis.
- Strong collaborative and consultative communication style with the ability to adapt and negotiate in a flexible and rapidly changing environment.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and an ability to prioritise often conflicting priorities.
- A current driver’s licence, NSW Working with Children and Police Checks (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
