Play a key leadership role in the future of the trade training throughout TAFE SA

A temporary, full-time role up until 30 June 2024 located at Tonsley Campus

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Leadership**: Contribute to the management of Future Industry and Trade (FIT) by providing leadership in planning and monitoring processes. Key responsibilities for the provision of programs and services within the workgroups aligned with FIT and TAFE SA roadmap.
- **Performance Management**: Provide leadership and direction to meet FIT and TAFE SA priorities and achieve performance targets. Regularly evaluate work group functions, recommend measures for maintaining integrity and efficiency, and develop strategies to address projected program demands.
- **Organisational Culture and Innovation**: Lead the development of an organisational culture that encourages innovation, flexibility, teamwork, and staff empowerment. Provide leadership in implementing policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of education and training courses across all FIT programs.
- **Representation and Negotiation**: Represent TAFE SA and/or FIT in discussions or negotiations on significant educational and managerial issues. Provide professional and education services, both within FIT and across TAFE SA.
- **Educational Leadership**: Provide educational leadership across FIT / TAFE SA through strategic and business planning. Oversee the development and delivery of programs and services at all TAFE SA campuses.
- **Support and Guidance**: Assist fellow colleagues by providing regular information, advice, and guidance on educational or administrative issues.
- **Occupational Health and Safety**: Provide leadership and direction to all staff for Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare awareness. Implement policies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and maintain a safe, productive, and harmonious working environment.
- **Industry and Community Relations**: Develop and enhance relationships with major industries, government agencies, and employer groups. Identify emerging trends and developments and communicate this information to appropriate stakeholders to position TAFE SA as leaders in learning.

**To be considered for this role, you will have**:

- Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education.
- Proven experience in successfully leading a large team.
- Educational operations management experience.
- Strong knowledge of educational best practices and current trends.
- Excellent industry and government stakeholder partnering skills.
- Strong financial acumen, project management and strategic thinking experience.
- Trade or relevant professional qualifications and experience.
- Highly refined interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational strategies.
