Internal Communications Manager- Part-time - 4 day week_- 8 month contract_

Role purpose:
The purpose of the internal communication function at Bankwest is to engage and inspire Bankwest colleagues to create advocates who believe in our outstanding future and are informed and equipped to share our narrative.

The Communications Manager reports to the Senior Manager Internal Communication and is a critical member of the broader Change and Communications team. This role develops and implements business-wide strategic communication and provides advice and support to divisional leaders.

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement business-wide communication strategies, EGM Bankwest and executive communications that relate to Bankwest’s vision, strategic narrative and transformation journey.- Crisis communication strategies, issues management, communication of business critical information and high impact business-wide strategic change messaging and content.- Harvest engaging content and share divisional success stories across Bankwest.- Amplify a consistent narrative through communication channels we can track, measure and analyse.- Develop superior working relationships with Bankwest’s senior leaders to provide strategic communication advice and support, enabling them to develop their understanding of communication and enhance their skills.- Develop key messages and announcements, briefing notes, presentations, Q&A documents, speeches and talking points.- Video production, working with external suppliers.- Measure and maximise effectiveness of communication programs, evolving activity accordingly.- Ensure alignment of internal and external lines of narrative and key messages.- Continually monitor the internal environment for potential issues and reputational risks.

Key skills and experience:
- Strong track record in internal communication, media management, issues management, stakeholder engagement and developing and implementing compelling communication strategies.- Exceptional content writing and editing skills across a range of styles and formats including speech writing, media statements, video scripts and social platforms.- Proven track record as a corporate affairs/communications professional - an experienced communicator.- Ability to manage challenging stakeholders, exceptional skills in relationship management and the ability to influence at senior levels.- Excellent planning and organisation skills, including the ability to integrate a range of messages and activities into an overall approach.- Problem solving capabilities including analysis of issues and sound judgement.- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.- High, ethical, professional work standards.- Tertiary qualification in communication, journalism or similar.
