**NumberWorks’nWords Balwyn** is seeking English tutors and Maths tutors.

Our tutors really enjoy working here because:

- They work with a range of kids from Prep to Year 10
- Extensive training is provided to enable them to do their very best
- All tutoring materials are supplied
- They get consistent shifts every week of the school term
- It's highly rewarding helping their students gain confidence and achieve success
- They get to have fun while they work

You will make a positive difference to children's lives by helping up to four students per lesson to achieve their individual learning goals in English or maths.

Our classes run during school terms (with occasional holiday courses also offered).

In school terms, we operate onsite in our Balwyn North centre from 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays, and between 8:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. We may also be opening on Fridays soon (depending on customer demand).

You will be seeking a long-term casual position (at least 1 year), working 2 or 3 shifts per week (shifts are 2 or 3 hours long). Most tutors end up working 2 shifts per week, given their other commitments.

The position is ideally suited to university students in their first or second year, as the hours tend to work well around your study schedule.

Tutors are paid under the Miscellaneous Award (MA000104).

**Selection criteria**

You will have:

- A friendly, engaging personality, with a sense of FUN
- A genuine desire to improve children's lives
- The ability to relate with enthusiasm and empathy to children from Prep to Year 10 (you must be keen to work with students of all ages)
- Excellent academic results in maths or English-related disciplines
- Initiative and conscientiousness
- Availability to work 2 or 3 shifts per week for 1 year minimum
