**About the role**:
A typical day would see you start in the pharmacy stores area assisting with receipting of pharmacy orders, marking off and putting away of stock, and data entry processing of the associated invoices. Once the fluid delivery arrives, you will be breaking down pallets of bulk fluids into separate orders and delivering them to clinical areas within the hospital. This is a physical part of the job and requires good fitness and strength as you will push trolleys of fluids around the whole hospital and unpack them onto storage shelves.

In between delivering fluids, you might assist in packing away pharmaceutical stock in the pharmacy dispensary, regular delivery rounds of dispensed medications to hospital wards, participating in the weekly cyclical stocktake, or placing orders for pharmaceuticals and consumables.

You will help our Pharmacy Stores and Inventory Control Officer with managing the store room, rotating stock, and assisting with record management and retention.

This is a two-day per week position requiring availability on Mondays and Fridays. There may be opportunities for further days for leave cover as needed.

**Where you'll be working**:

- You will be joining the Jonh Hunter Hospital pharmacy team of around 75 staff. We work together to provide timely and safe access to medications and fluids for patients of Hunter New England Health.
- This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England, and Lower Mid North Coast areas. John Hunter Hospital is a Level 6, tertiary referral, major trauma and teaching hospital and is the largest hospital in the Hunter New England Local Health District. **About you**:

- This job uses computers a lot for stock management purposes so you should be confident in their use. Experience in stock data entry would be preferable but is not essential.
- We are looking for a great team player who can be flexible in daily tasks to respond to the ever-changing priorities of a busy hospital. You need to be a great communicator and able to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
