**About the role**
Working within the dynamic Capability Support Branch, the primary focus of the role is to gathers and analyse portfolio, program and project-level data to produce reports and forecasts about past and future performance; and identify improvements to operations and guide decision-making for senior leaders.
The Executive Level 1 Enterprise Reporting Analyst will work alongside the Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), to ensure the department’s Executive and governance forums get accurate reports on the status, development, problems, and to monitor the portfolio's performance effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee project and program reporting under the Portfolio, Program and Project Management (P3M) Framework to give a portfolio view of project activity.
- Lead analysis of project reporting to inform a portfolio view, and identifying relevant issues that need attention.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on portfolio performance, highlighting key achievements, risks, and challenges.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing insights and analysis based on portfolio data.
- Support capability development initiatives within the portfolio, such as training programs, skills assessments, and knowledge sharing activities, particularly to support the implementation of the digital P3M tool.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
- Facilitate and manage agency responses to external reporting requests, such as the DTA’s Integrated Digital Investment Plan and Approved Programs Collection responses.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Experience in providing project management services in government, with relevant certifications or equivalent. This includes expert knowledge and proven results in portfolio, program, and project management disciplines.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to examine information and contribute to the design and development innovative solutions, identify and address issues as they arise whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the preparation of various project documentation including business cases, project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a busy and evolving professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task and work collaboratively across the branch.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in and across teams in a high tempo environment as well as individually when required.
