**What you will be doing**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Clinician to join the Mental Health Team as the Police, Ambulance and Clinical Early Response (PACER) Clinician in a Permanent Part Time Position.
- The PACER Model is a combination of a mental health clinician and a police officer responding together as a team in response to a mental health crisis.
- The PACER Model will provide timely mobile onsite access to mental health assessment and management of crises and complex mental health needs of consumers at an advanced level. The aim of the model is to support trauma informed practice and least restrictive care principles while navigating alternate care options available in the community.
- The position requires extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and clinical practices to provide support treatment, coordination and education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental and physical health needs. The successful applicant will be required to work evenings and weekends.

**Selection Criteria to be Addressed**:

- Qualifications and experience in mental health: - Occupational Therapy: minimum Bachelor degree and 3 years’ full time equivalent experience and APHRA registration as an occupational therapist - Social Work: minimum Bachelor degree and 3 years’ full time equivalent experience with eligibility for AASW membership - Nursing: minimum Bachelor degree in nursing and post graduate qualifications in mental health/related area and minimum 5 years’ full time equivalent experience - Psychology: Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist and a current Senior Psychologist or eligible for Senior Psychologist grading (with no less than 12 months service at the 9th year of service and thereafter rate).
