**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This is an exciting time for us, as we are searching for a Performance Analyst within our Cricket department to support our Australian Women’s National Team.
We’re looking for someone to provide best-practice performance analysis services for our Women’s National Team and collaborate with coaches, employees and players. If you can translate data into actionable insights, have the ability to communicate complex information to a range of technical and non-technical audiences and would like to contribute to the continuing success of our National Women’s Team, we want to hear from you.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Performance Data & Technology, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading performance analysis services across all matches and training sessions, including preparing, delivering and translating data-driven reports, dashboards and presentations that assist team selection, strategy, and decision making.
- Leading opposition analysis to identify strategic strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
- Proactively providing insights on the global game, including emerging trends and opportunities that could provide a competitive advantage.
- Collaborating with Sport Science Sport Medicine staff to assist performance health monitoring.
- Traveling on domestic and international tours, including considerable periods away from home, while maintaining a high-level of professionalism and focus on objectives.
- Actively facilitating ongoing education and providing training to coaches, staff and athletes to support their understanding of data and performance analysis and facilitate optimal data and technology experiences.
- Actively engaging and collaborating with the CA Performance Data and Technology team to ensure alignment across data and technology strategy, projects, and deliverables.
- Working with CA High Performance and National Teams’ staff to engage, educate and empower on the value of data, and its usefulness in decision making.
**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience working within a high-performance sporting environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Performance Analysis, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience gathering data and analysis requirements from key stakeholders.
- An ability to provide concise, timely, and compelling insights to inform and support decision making.
- An ability to communicate complex information to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail, with demonstrated experience producing accurate, high-quality work with a focus on thoroughness and precision.
- Solution-focused, with a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to think creatively to generate ideas and solutions that challenge existing practice.
- A positive attitude towards change, showing flexibility in approach and a willingness to explore opportunities for improvement.
- A commitment to continuous personal and professional growth, with a readiness to embrace new knowledge, skills, and processes.
- A willingness to build cohesive and collaborative relationships across a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience working with programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL, etc).
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Positivity and enthusiasm for sport data and analytics.
- A willingness to travel domestically and internationally, which will include considerable periods away from home.
- A general understanding of cricket.
