**What is ‘City Presentation’, and what does the team do?**

The City Presentation team meticulously curates the visual experience of the City of Adelaide, ensuring streets, parks, and other public spaces are not only attractive, but reflect a source of pride.

The Manager, City Presentation leads a team of 2 direct reports (Team Leader, Horticulture and Team Leader, Waste & Cleansing), and approximately 120 indirect reports.

**What will I be doing as a Manager, City Presentation?**

In this key managerial role, you will be providing strategic leadership to our Horticulture, and Cleansing teams. You will be responsible for planning and delivery of:

- Cleansing throughout our city, kerbside general waste, co-mingled recycling and organics collection services, hard waste and on-street cardboard collection to residents and businesses as well as waste and recycling services.
- Horticultural maintenance and Capital Works, landscapes and streetscapes, arboriculture, projects, irrigation and events support.

This pivotal role involves planning, delivery and ensuring alignment with the Strategic Plan 2024 - 2028.

**Delivery of strategic plan. **The Manager, City Presentation is responsible for ensuring the realisation and delivery of the commitments set out in the Strategic Plan 2024 - 2028. Your collaborative leadership style will inspire our teams to see why their role matters and how each team member plays a part into ‘the bigger picture’ of what City of Adelaide hopes to achieve.

**Strategic planning. **Working alongside the Associate Director, City Operations, you will find opportunities for growth as you support the creation of our strategic plans. Demonstrated experience in developing strategic / business plans, will be key to success.

Other key skills we are looking for are:

- Experience in a service delivery environment - ideally delivering waste and cleansing management and/or horticulture services in a complex urban environment.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, or the ability to quickly learn, relating to delivery of services in Waste Management and/or Park Lands Maintenance.
- Highly developed project and consultant/contractor management skills which underpin the timely development of strategies, projects and programs and assist in cross functional collaboration.
- Previous experience in managing significant complex departmental budgets and understanding of the financial process including capital, operating and cost recovery.

**Job Shadowing Program.** The Manager, City Presentation has initiated a unique Job Shadowing Program, fostering cross-functional understanding of roles. This program allows team members to experience different roles, creating a collaborative work environment aligned with strategic outcomes. This program has allowed for waste & cleansing team members to experience a week in the life of a horticulturalist, and vice versa, resulting in employees gaining an appreciation for how each role affects outcomes of other roles.
