About the role

This role is responsible for leading and managing the effective and efficient operation of a portfolio of respite services for people with disabilities. You will be accountable for the development of our Respite Business including increasing utilisation of the respite services and business development of new clients accessing respite services. You will have a minimum of 8 direct reports to manage, motivate and mentor.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

- Overseeing the day to day Operations of our Respite Services sites
- Identifying opportunities to develop Respite utilisation and creating and implementing a Respite business development strategy
- Identifying new opportunities to offer creative service offerings to improve client outcomes and increase intake of new clients.
- Work with internal CPA stakeholders to identify opportunities for the promotion of Respite Services and optimised usage across respite locations
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to secure access to necessary support, information and resources to effectively manage a portfolio of Respite services
- Managing, supporting and mentoring a team of Respite House Managers
- Managing the income and expenditure for the Respite business to ensure financial targets are successfully achieved
- Client and stakeholder management
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of external best practices and legislative/regulatory requirements to ensure compliance across respite service operations.
- Managing client-wellbeing processes across Respites services; conduct audits of sites and individual clients
- Planning to identify gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.

About you:

- At least 10 year’s demonstrated Operational experience managing a disability service
- Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS funding model and excellent knowledge of the issues related to disability services
- Comprehensive understanding of NDIS reporting requirements and incident management procedures
- A strong commitment and understanding of the importance and benefits of offering respite services to families
- Strong business acumen and communication skills allowing you to engage and work with multiple stakeholders, as well as promote CPA as a quality service provider
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills and a strategic thinker
- Demonstrated experience in setting, managing financial targets and financial modelling
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a diverse range of people
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to deal with conflict; demonstrated superior skills in mediation and negotiation, collaboration and consultation.
