Permanent Position with accommodation on farm and all meals provided.
A 5000 head cattle feedlot in North West NSW is currently seeking a feed team member / machinery operator. Although the primary role will be feeding (tractor and front end loader operating), including mill operation and bunk calling, this is a shared role and will still allow someone to participate in all other aspects of the feedlot, including pen riding, cattle processing, paddock mustering, fencing, welding etc.

Responsibilities and typical duties include:
Operation of tractors, loaders, water trucks and other machinery Operating a mill, grain processing equipment Mixing and delivering feed to cattle Ensuring pens, bunks and troughs are clean and suitable for use daily General stock handling and record keeping Options for pen riding, cattle mustering and processing (drafting, weighing etc) Diagnosis & treatment of sick cattleParticipate in scheduled cleaning and maintenance of machinery and equipment Welding Fencing Additional farm related duties as deemed necessary by management. Maintain compliance within company guidelines including, but not limited to: WH&S, Quality Assurance, Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Environmental Standards
Knowledge, Experience & Abilities:
Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded but not essential Cattle experience, patience and ability to work in a team environment Responsible operation of front end loaders, tractors and feed wagons Ability to make accurate observations Capability of following protocol to assist management in ensuring records are correct and accurateThese are full time positions, working a roster of ten days on, four days off.
An hourly wage of $28+ alongside single person's accommodation & meals provided on site. A vehicle is essential due the remote location of the feedlot (ideally a 4WD).
