Southern IML Pathology has vacancy for a full time Pathology Aide to work in the Nowra
- Laboratory. The main duties include specimen handling and processing, data entry and
- telephone results calls in our Pre-analytical Area that includes Specimen Reception, Data
- Entry and Referred Tests. Commitment to high quality work and customer service is essential.
- The successful applicant must be highly motivated, keen to learn and able to work quickly and
- accurately in a busy team environment and have strong computer skills. A pleasant telephone
- manner, good communication skills and excellent attention to detail are also essential. Whilst
- no formal qualifications in pathology are required for this position, TAFE qualifications in
- Pathology Techniques and/or medical pathology terminology would be beneficial.
- Essential criteria:
- Excellent time management
- Attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Previous experience in a fast paced and diverse workplace
- Available to work a range of shifts on a 7 day roster

Desirable criteria:
- Medical and/or pathology experience
- Medical terminology
- Keyboard skills of at least 50wpm.

Shift times will be between 8:00am - 7pm Monday to Friday, with regular participation in the
- weekend roster also required. Applicants must have excellent availability and the ability to
- work a variety of shifts according to the business needs.- by 14 August 2023
