The Private Equity Financing team is part of CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business. The team plays a key role in originating, structuring and executing loans to fund Private Equity transactions.

Do work that matters:
The core purpose of PEFG is to be the preferred provider and thought leader in the delivery of innovative capital solutions to our clients. We target private equity clients and corporate clients across all the IB&M ecosystems and the Major Client Group, in Business Banking.

You will be involved in the end-end execution of transactions and contribute to IB&M’s strategy to be the bank of choice for access to capital.

Key tasks will include but not be limited to:

- Identifying opportunities to develop and deliver the Bank's strategy, expand the client base and meet client needs;
- Working to identify target companies suitable for leveraged finance transactions;
- Assisting in developing client-focused presentations (including marketing pitches, relationship reviews and discussion papers);
- Interfacing with clients, Relationship Executives, product specialists on origination, structuring, marketing, new product implementation, problem resolution and client service issues;
- Assisting with and/or leading the structuring of new leveraged facilities both internally and with clients;
- Undertaking structured credit modelling of leveraged finance transactions
- Completing input for annual reviews and new credit submissions;
- Reviewing facility documentation (offer letters, facility agreements);
- Analysis and reporting on the IB&M leveraged finance portfolio;
- Post Deal Management of executed leveraged finance transactions;
- Supporting the development of Associates and/or Senior Associates;

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

- Experience with the practices and procedures relating to institutional banking/lending products and services as well as a demonstrated experience in corporate finance principles and capital structuring issues
- Experience in leveraged finance would be an advantage
- Strong oral and written communication skills combined with professional presentation
- Aptitude in financial modelling, together with strong analytical skills
- An understanding of the funding process for a transaction would be an advantage
- Strong organisational/project management skills and experience with Institutional/Corporate clients
- Strong oral and written communication skills including preparing client presentation materials
- Client service orientation and strong stakeholder management skills
