The Audit Office of South Australia strives to assist the South Australian public sector to operate to the highest levels of accountability and integrity. We provide timely, relevant information to Parliament on the performance and accountability of government agencies and local government from our audits, reviews, and examinations.

The Performance Audit Branch looks at how well government services, programs and projects are being managed. We review important citizen focussed areas and help government agencies improve their processes to deliver better outcomes to the South Australian community. Our work is reported to Parliament to keep everyone informed and the public sector accountable.

**Your new role**

The Performance Audit Analyst is our entry level role. The role is supported through initial on the job training under supervision, with the level of supervision reducing as experience and knowledge increases.

As a Performance Audit Analyst you will help plan, conduct and report on performance audits under guidance from the team. You will contribute to robust research and analysis to inform audit reviews and may draft sections or prepare data and visual representations that contribute to the production of a range of audit products, including reports to agencies and the Auditor-General’s Report to Parliament.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Basic awareness of government service delivery and accountability processes.
- Basic experience in undertaking research, collating and presenting research information.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- A graduate qualification in an appropriate analytic discipline such as business, economics, accounting, law or social science would be desirable.

**Salary**

$67,589 to $72,033 per annum (ASO3 classification level) plus 11.5 % superannuation

Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent residency at the time of applying.
