THE ROLE

To provide financial reporting support to Group Finance Managers within the Expenditure (Opex/Capex/Fixed Assets) team.

Key accountabilities:

- Perform month-end and year-end close activities for the Parent entity, including preparation and review of complex monthly journals (including accruals, prepayments, and allocations), balance sheet and other GL reconciliations, and Group consolidation
- Perform complex month-end and year-end close calculations including right of use assets and liabilities, and property make good and other provisions
- Review and approve recurring and standard journals prepared by others
- Preparation of assigned notes and supporting documents for the annual financial statutory accounts
- Complete monthly capitalisation of costs and transfer WIP to assets in the Asset Register
- Improve processes in capitalisation and reporting of capital spend
- Support provision of data and information for external audits
- Support the implementation of accounting processes / system rollouts for new initiatives

About You

You will have strong Financial Accounting experience and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. The role will be suited to someone who pays attention to detail and has good communication and stakeholder management skills. You should enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a larger team, in order to achieve the organisational strategic goals.
