We are seeking a highly motivated, engaged and customer focused Head of Mining Sales to join the Australia Management team for this key position growing the Mining Business in Australia.

This position is responsible for securing the year on year profitable growth in revenue and market share (Capital) for the Australian Regions Mining business through sales of FLSmidth products and services.

Job Responsibilities:
- Leads development of client relationship management, strengthen client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with accounts in the Region.
- Development of capital sales’ strategy to identify and increase the regional opportunities, maximize the win rate, contribution margin and control the opportunity risks by working together with global capital sales.
- Development of regional Site/Service sales growth strategy in conjunction with Product Line Managers and Head of Aftermarket Sales.
- Organize the regional sales pipeline to ensure CRM data accuracy and monitor the data systematically by tracking Industry trends, customer needs, etc.
- Manage the regional capital sales costs and budget.
- In consultation with global capital sales, develop regional order intake and contribution margin budgets and report monthly progress.
- Manage performance and development of capital sales team to build the capabilities and competencies to contribute to APAC business strategy.
- Build the sales pipeline and growth strategy for the 1-3 years within APAC and forecast opportunities for the 0-5 year outlook upon market trends, data and project information.

- Client focus and engagement: Defines and prioritizes target clients.
- Strategic thinking: Formulates strategic initiatives to expand market share.
- Captial Order Intake and Contribution Margin.
- Oversees negotiation of major deals.
- Risk assessment & opportunity management.
- Compliance in a stock quoted corporation with corporate business processes.
- Ability to liaise, meet and client manage at CEO, VP level of customer base.
- Strong business expansion experience including relevant client network.
- Experience with work in a multidimensional matrix organisation.
- Worked in multiple geographies and within multicultural teams.

Industry Knowledge:

- Experience in EPC environment in relevant sectors.
- Participated in and won projects in similar industries.
- Access/respect by industry and governmental stakeholders.- Mining equipment and industry awareness

People Leadership and Influence:

- Ensures strong client focus and engagement.
- Builds high performing sales (Site/Service Sales) teams.
- Aligns sales and delivery of services.
- Capable of working in a matrix organization.

Leadership Characteristics:

- Understanding the business, market trends and clients needs.
- Making complex decisions.
- Creating innovative solutions.
- Communicating effectively.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in leading sales/key account management in the EP(C) or relevant sector.
- Understanding or experience in OEM offerings and after sales service.
- Minimum 8 years with responsibility for employees, projects, processes. Worked successfully with people of other cultures.
- Proven experience of designing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, strong familiarity with EP(C) contracting business and strong experience in customer acquisition and sustainable customer relationship management.
- Executive level negotiations and revenue responsibilities between 400-800M AUD.
